The inspiration for this web-site comes from the need for a "coach" who can provide practical triathlon advise to triathletes with a "life" and to provide a few laughs along the way. On this site you'll find real world advise for the everyday triathlete. Advise and opinions on training plans, racing preparation and strategies, nutrition/hydration and suggestions on what equipment to buy and how to use it. My goal is to help you improve in triathlon without experiencing the pitfalls that so many age-group triathletes do.

Heather is a licensed Physical Therapist (Master's Degree from University of Alabama at Birmingham) and Certified Athletic Trainer (Masters Degree at University of Alabama) and sought after lecturer with over ten years experience treating orthopedic injuries with custom orthotics. Heather specializes in working with athletes to identify sources of pain and troubled areas that can be treated with custom inserts.

The question is often asked, "Who needs custom orthotics?" Anyone who has pain in the foot, knee, hip or back may benefit from a custom insert. Orthotics can be helpful in treating chronic issues in triathletes such as plantar fasciitis, patella femoral syndrome, and IT band pain.
